HIV-free Generation Ice-cream Project
CASD’s mobile clinic is a welcoming space for girls aged 11 to 19 in Cameroon, providing essential Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) information and services. Disguised as an inviting ice cream van, it facilitates discussions on SRH topics, distributes educational brochures, and offers hotline numbers for support. Each interaction includes a membership card for access to local clinics. In 2015, CASD reached over 10,000 girls and 2,000 boys, collaborating with partners and training Community Health Workers for impactful SRH education.
the Paternity Clinic Project
Despite global efforts, preventable maternal and infant deaths persist, with Cameroon facing a maternal mortality ratio of 590 per 100,000 live births and under-five mortality at 88 per 1000 live births. The Paternity Clinic Project (PCP) steps in by educating first-time expectant fathers in Cameroon’s North West Region. Between 2019 and 2021, the project reached 349 couples, resulting in increased male involvement, better care for women, and positive health practices. Join us in exploring the impactful journey of PCP, aiming to make pregnancy and childbirth safer for both mothers and infants.
